Texas property tax calendar
Deadlines can vary by property and notice date. Use these as planning markers, then confirm the date printed on your notice or with the appraisal district.
Property is generally appraised based on its condition and value as of January 1.
Most prior-year property taxes should be paid by this date to avoid delinquency.
Most business personal property renditions are due; a written extension may move the deadline to May 15.
Usually May 15 or 30 days after the appraisal notice is mailed, whichever is later.
